The Dahlia Dell

Showcase garden for

San Francisco’s official flower!

Brought to you by the volunteers of the Dahlia Society of California

The Dahlia Dell is located in Golden Gate Park next to the Conservatory of Flowers.

The Dell contains over 700 named dahlia varieties in eye-popping colors and forms, from the tiniest pom (<2”) to the biggest AA (12+”).

Peak bloom months: July, August, and September.

The Dahlia Dell is a free public garden created by the Dahlia Society of California (also known as the San Francisco Dahlia Society). Members grow hundreds of varieties of dahlias for their beauty, competitions, hybridization, and education. Dahlias have been grown in Golden Gate Park for over 100 years. Society volunteers keep the tradition of growing San Francisco’s official flower alive for all to enjoy. Join us!
